Well...the time has come to let you all in on our big news! We know you've been waiting to hear...
This is our last week at the building we've called home for so long (sniff, sniff)! It is with HUGE excitement (and a lot of nostalgia) that we are announcing our BIG MOVE to a beautiful building just a few 'paw-prints' away!
After being here for 5 years, Dr. Herman and I have taken a huge leap and decided to move this humble little hospital to a beautiful free-standing building just a 'set of lights' away. We've been waiting a long time to have 'our own shingle' and opportunity knocked when a building we had our eye on for so long...finally went up for sale this past spring! We have been busy little beavers turning it into a gorgeous veterinary hospital ever since...now for some of you, it explains why I've been absent from the hospital...I've been just up the street wearing a hard hat!
We know we poured our hearts into fixing up this old place and I'd be fibbing if I said I won't be a bit sad to leave it behind...but our new place is simply lovely and we now have all the space we need to provide you with the 'best of the best'! From diagnostic equipment, larger consultation rooms, dedicated Laser Therapy suite, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray in a custom dental suite, bright & beautiful boarding suites...the list goes on. The improvements are massive and the level of medicine you will have for your little furry friends is awesome. We will be an AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited hospital - a designation of excellence in veterinary facilities! Quite simply we're pretty tickled that we are no longer limited in space or building limitations or held back in our goals to provide all we possibly can in the interest of top notch medicine for all. We're just thrilled about it. But there's one important thing you should know. We certainly could never have dreamed any of this without the level of trust and wonderful support you have given us through the years. We are here because of you.
As well, we are excited to announce that the very fabulous trainer we have referred to you all this time is moving in with us too! Now Turk of Off Leash Dog Training and his training team are just a few steps away when you come to visit! How awesome is THAT!? Look for the logo on his door to the left when you come in and you can always peek through the window as he consults/trains his clients! He'll also be offering group lessons weekly and as we get settled in, he and Dr. Herman will be joining up to provide puppy classes, first aid awareness and other fun things you'll be able to attend in the evenings. Welcome aboard, Turk!
So here are the location details! Our new address is 304 South Polk Street, Pineville, NC 28134. It's only half a mile away toward Carolina Place Mall...two doors down from the Auto Bell and right beside the Pineville ball field. The access in and out is MUCH better (we all dreaded pulling in or out of our parking lot in rush hour) and the area is much better all around.
Our doors close here on Monday, January 16th after all of our week-end boarders are discharged. Unfortunately, with all building projects, delays are to be expected and we will be 'in limbo' for about a week BUT still available as per our usual hours by phone (704-552-2005). Dr. Herman will be available by phone consults as well as house-call visits as needed. Please bear with us through our transition. There will no doubt be 'hiccups' in our move. If you are a Facebook member, please go to www.facebook.com/southcharlotteanimalhospital and 'like us' as we will post numerous daily updates about our transition and you will also be able to reach out to us through our Facebook page as well.
In closing, Dr. Herman and I want to let all of you know that we feel incredibly fortunate to take care of you and your family (furry or not!) and we appreciate each and every one of you. Many of you have become friends over the years and we truly enjoy catching up with you and your families when you come in for your annual visits. We are so very excited and can't wait to show you around the new hospital. Nothing else will have changed...same Dr. Herman (and me, Cheryl-Anne!), same wonderful staff, same Nellie waiting to greet you when you come in, even the same paint color you've all loved!
Thanks for the memories in our old place...looking forward to years of adding great memories to our new place.
With warmest thanks for your support through our transition...
The Herman Family (and staff)
